I am a recent New Mexico transplant from California, having grown up all over Southern California. I moved out to Las Cruces in 2021 to start my Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at NMSU, and I am now a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. My schooling in California consisted of a BA in Psychology with a minor in Sociology, and a Juris Doctorate with an emphasis in Criminal Law.
I have worked in many different settings including a long-term in-patient psychiatric hospital, as a school counselor at a high school, and a mediator in Small Claims Court. I have experience working with severe mental illness, trauma, and LGBTQIA+ identity processing.
I am a big believer of looking at the systems that are in play in our lives and how we adapt to them, calling upon multiple modalities of therapy in order to meet people where they most need me. I love using various forms of art and games when it comes to therapy, including therapeutic D&D and bibliotherapy. I look forward to working with you!
