I am an independently Licensed Clinical Social Worker and I earned my degrees in psychology and social work from NMSU. I have worked in various areas of mental health care including treatment foster care (TFC), outpatient community health clinics, and private practice since 2001.
I have experience treating children, adolescents, and adults, individually, with family or as part of a group or some combination of these modes. I have experience treating PTSD / trauma, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, self-esteem, behavior management, stress management, parenting skills, relationship issues, LGBTQ+, and grief and loss.
The therapeutic approach I use is individualized according to the needs of the person. Treatment is provided from an integrative repertoire of therapeutic approaches that frequently includes Client-Centered, Cognitive-Behavioral (CBT), Strengths Based, Choice Therapy, Solution Focused, Motivational Change Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and other proven therapeutic methods.
